How much does an “invisible” component like a perforated tube really weigh in the automotive supply chain?
We often talk about innovation, electrification, new platforms…
but European industrial reality is still based on solid, reliable, and highly skilled processes.
A concrete example: iperforated pipes for silencers.
At our Terni plant, at König Metall GT, we produce around 40.000 perforated tubes per day.
In reality, it means directly contributing to the production of exhaust silencers.
To put this into perspective:
In Europe, an average of over 60,000 cars are produced every day.
This means that every day most vehicles are equipped with components produced by König Metall GT, often invisible, but essential for:
- noise control
- exhaust gas flow management
- overall system performance
There is much more behind this number:
- efficient and integrated industrial processes (from drilling to bending and welding)
- quality control according to automotive standards
- ability to ensure continuity and reliability of the supply chain
The key point?
The value is not only in the product, but in the ability to make it stable, repeatable and competitive every day.
And this is the added value of the skills and perseverance of our Team
