The production site of König Metall GT in Terni was the protagonist of the first stage of TechOnTour 2026, the traveling event promoted by BLM GROUP dedicated to updating on cutting-edge technologies for laser tube processing.

The day represented an important opportunity for technical discussion between our specialists and BLM GROUP experts, focusing on the integration of advanced systems into industrial production flows.

Technical Tour: The New LTFREE Double Cabin

The highlight of the meeting was a tour of König Metall GT’s production facilities, where participants were able to observe the latest installed technology in operation: the laser 3D LTFREE cutting system.

The system stands out for its high-profile technical specifications, designed to maximize efficiency in the treatment of complex profiles:

• Double Cabin Configuration: An architecture that allows for the optimization of loading and unloading cycles, ensuring the operational continuity of the laser beam.
• Manipulation Robot: The integration of robotics ensures precise positioning and handling of parts, enabling accurate 3D machining of hydroformed or pre-assembled components.
• Process Versatility: The machine allows you to perform complex drilling, trimming and cutting with a single setup, drastically reducing lead times and margins of error.
